Every four minutes someone is diagnosed with epilepsy. In the time it takes you to get your morning cup of coffee, load the dishwasher, check your voicemail, or pay your electric bill, someone, somewhere has just been diagnosed with epilepsy. It is time to shine the spotlight on this highly misunderstood and underfunded disorder.
November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month. The Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona will kick-off this exciting month with the Phoenix Epilepsy Walk. Join us Saturday, November 16th, 2013, at Steele Indian School Park to make epilepsy impossible to overlook! Registration is 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. and the walk begins at 10:30 a.m.
This fundraising walk is non-competitive. The course is approximately 2 miles; alternative routes have been set up for individuals who cannot walk that far. Every individual who registers receives a commemorative walk t-shirt.
This is a wonderful way to spend the day with family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. Leashed dogs are always welcome! We encourage teams to register, or you can sign-up as an individual.
Online registration closes at 5:00 PM, Friday, November 15th, 2013. Day of registration is open 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM.
